Summary: A good athlete and an excellent defender behind the plate, Dingler rocketed up draft boards this year thanks in large part to the growth in his offensive game. After starting his career as a light-hitting center fielder, Dingler moved behind the dish where his arm strength and athleticism proved to be an asset. But what turned him into a potential first round pick was the growth in his offense, and turning his plus raw power into game production.

Quotable: “An athlete behind the plate is huge. We talk about shortstops, center fielders being great athletes, which they are. Your feet and your hands have to be tremendous to be a good catcher.” - Scott Pleis, Detroit Tigers Director of Amateur Scouting

Notable Tools: 55 Hit, 50 Power

Summary: Cabrera's calling card is his bat, as he's a prototypical corner outfielder that projects to hit for average with a fair amount of power. He has an easy swing and commands the strike zone well. He's not a great athlete or defender, but good enough that he should be serviceable on the bases and in the field, assuming the bat performs as many project it to.

Quotable: “He’s going to be an everyday left fielder, a power bat, uses the field. He’s not a runner, but he runs good enough, but a really quality player with a history of hitting. He’s going to be a good player.” - Scott Pleis, Detroit Tigers Director of Amateur Scouting

Height: 6’2”  |  Weight: 200 lbs  |  B/T: B/R  |  Date of Birth: 7/5/1998

School: Rice U (TX)

Notable Tools: 50 Hit, 50 Run

ETA: 2023

Summary: Cruz has a strong lineage as both his father and grandfather were big leaguers, and Cruz could follow suit. A natural hitter and a good athlete, Cruz is a threat to get on the bases and do some damage, though he's not a burner. Defensively, Cruz's limited range likely means he'll be a better fit at second base.

Quotable: “He’s a switch-hitter. He’s not a power guy, but he’s got some power. Good athlete, very versatile. His bat has evolved the last few years and keeps getting better. We really feel like we’ve got a really good baseball player here.” - Scott Pleis, Detroit Tigers Director of Amateur Scouting

Height: 6’4”  |  Weight: 195 lbs  |  B/T: B/R  |  Date of Birth: 10/24/1999

School: Arizona State U

Notable Tools: 60 Power, 55 Arm

ETA: 2024

Summary: Workman doesn't turn 21 until late in the fall, after graduating high school early and enrolling at Arizona State, so he's still a bit raw compared to other college juniors. That being said, Workman is big with an athletic frame, but still surprisingly mobile, and could play shortstop (he played there in Cape Cod last summer). His frame and arm likely project better to third base, but the athleticism is there. At the plate, he has excellent raw power, but with some swing-and-miss in his approach, he'll likely need refinement to turn the raw power into production.

Quotable: “He's got a huge upside, huge power, switch-hitter, a good athlete, can run, can throw, really does a really good job at third base. And I think he's growing into being a good hitter. He does strike out a little bit too much at times, but I think there's a huge upside with him, and the power potential is tremendous.” - Scott Pleis, Detroit Tigers Director of Amateur Scouting

Height: 6’2”  |  Weight: 220 lbs  |  B/T: L/R  |  Date of Birth: 8/14/2001

School: Biloxi HS (MS)

Notable Tools: 60 Arm, 50 Power

ETA: 2025

Summary: Keith was projected to be a second or third round pick before he fell to the fifth round due to signability concerns - those however were addressed prior to selecting him as the Tigers expect to sign the youngster. Keith garnered interest as a prospect both at the plate and on the mound, with a low-90's fastball. Offensively, he makes hard contact and has good raw power.

Quotable: “We got a high-ceiling third baseman that we’re excited to get, a left-handed hitter.” - Scott Pleis, Detroit Tigers Director of Amateur Scouting
