Debuting the 2020 TigsTown Top 50
Months later than usual, but here it is, the top 50 prospects in the organization for the Detroit Tigers, as ranked by the TigsTown Staff!
The Tigers farm system has slowly but surely been rebuilt, and it’s reached a point where it’s as strong as it has been since TigsTown started actively covering the system in 2004. The top of the system has top notch starting pitching prospects, and is supported with a number of other intriguing arms. Right handers Casey Mize and Matt Manning lead the way, but Tarik Skubal is good enough to have been the top ranked prospect in at least a half dozen annual editions of the Top 50.
Meanwhile, the position player side of things is slowly improving, thanks to the addition of high school outfielder Riley Greene in last summer’s draft, along with the continued development of infielder Isaac Paredes.
TigsTown will be rolling out new scouting reports on the Top 50 throughout the spring and into the season, but the new rankings format gives everyone the skinny on every prospect ranked!
